The beer capital of the Nordics

Gothenburg is starting to be considered the beer capital of the Nordics, with as many as 35 active breweries! Everything from regular lager to experimental sour beer. Most restaurants and bars in Gothenburg have craft beer from local breweries in their range. Some breweries also have taprooms, where you can take part in the entire brewery's selection, such as Vega Bryggeri, Stigbergets Bryggeri Majorna and O/O Bar.

You can buy beer from most of Gothenburg's breweries at Systembolaget inside Nordstan's pop-up store, Ölstudion, in central Gothenburg.
